Health & Safety Management
In order to ensure the effective implementation of our vision for safety, we operate a documented safety management system comprising the key components essential for continual improvement of our performance.
The management system is designed in compliance with HSE Guidance HSG65 Successful Health and Safety Management and is a system that continually evolves to suit the changing needs of our business and our customers.
Safety Management System Verification
The akp Scotland Ltd Safety Management System has been successfully audited and satisfied the criteria for registration within the National Britannia Safe Contractor database.Clients working with akp Scotland Ltd can therefore be assured that we meet the competence criteria of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007.
Safety Training
akp fully support the ongoing development of our people and have developed minimum safety training standards and a programme that ensures that the right information gets to the right people at the right time.
As a registered Construction Skills Training Provider with a dedicated training facility at our East Kilbride office, we are able to deliver a wide range of training courses in-house that are tailored specifically to the needs of our people, our market sectors and our customers.

Performance Management & Review
In support of the principles of continuous improvement, safety performance is monitored using a variety of methods including inspection and audit, with feedback loops established to ensure that lessons learnt are translated into actions for improvement.
