We had a warm welcome from the 12th Ayrshire Kingcase Scout Group on Friday night. The akp Kiltwalk Team stopped by and watched the Beavers “Swimming Up” ceremony as many of the Beavers graduated to Cubs.

The Kiltwalk Team, comprising of Roz Malcolm akp Business Development, Marketing & CSR Manager, Gordon Evans akp Estimator and Paul O’Connor akp Quantity Surveyor were there to present a cheque for £1,480, which they raised from participating in the 15mile Kiltwalk in April.

As part of the CSR and Community Benefits activities akp committed to in connection to the major refurbishment of Kingcase Primary School, which akp are Principal Contractor on, we decided to select the local Scouts as the charity / community group whom would benefit from the monies raised from the Kiltwalk.

Roz Malcolm commented; “I myself took part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme at School and a number of the akp team are also keen hikers and outdoor activity enthusiasts, so it seemed like the natural choice to donate the monies we raised to the Scouts Group.”
