Scottish Enterprise / Amazon.com
Working with CBRE, and our supply chain, akp were required to hit the ground running to achieve critical rolling deadlines in the refurbishment of 330,000 sq ft of warehouse and office property at Faulds Park, Gourock in time for Amazon.com's arrival.
The project involved a complete overhaul of the existing M & E installation, refurbishment of the dock bays, substantial cladding repairs to the loading areas, preparation and repair of the expansive shop floor, and finally general upgrading work to the offices, canteens, reception and staff areas in order to facilitate the phased occupancy of the property by the new tenant.
With Amazon's necessity to achieve its delivery deadlines, akp worked closely with its project management team to ensure initial entry into the property was on time and of ease, and as the project progressed, adapted the flexibility required to ensure all requirements were met.
The project was completed on time, and within budget ensuring the client, Scottish Enterprise, could hand over the property to the satisfaction of this prestigious new tenant.
