Leading contracts, healthcare and interiors specialists akp, have appointed Douglas Lyle to the newly created post of IT Manager.
Douglas who previously worked in IT consultancy joins akp as the company embarks on an extensive expansion strategy.
In his new role Douglas will be responsible for the smooth operation of the business' logistics, ensuring that the IT operations are database driven and provide remote access and inter departmental accessibility.
Commenting on his appointment Ian McEwan, Managing Director, akp said, "We're at a critical point in our growth strategy having moved into large new premises and dealing with an increasing number of off site project based locations therefore, it's essential that all our systems, including IT are seamless, to enable staff to undertake their jobs efficiently.
"Douglas's appointment is a natural progression in this growth plan and having worked in consultancy he is very much aware of the needs of a business of our size and complexity in the number of locations we operate."
