akp is now working towards Investors in People accreditation. Director, John Mooney is championing the cause and heading up the taskforce with Susan McEwan, HR Manager.
Susan said: " We hope to be accredited by early 2009 however there is a lot of work to be done. We have set up three working groups to help implement changes in the company, focusing particularly on culture and communication.
"All levels of the business will be involved in the workshops and joint consultative committees have been set up, meeting every quarter to drive through the changes required.
"Working towards IiP will help us to refine our management strategy along with our business objectives to ensure we are doing everything we can to develop our people and ultimately provide a better service to our employees and customers."
