Scottish Design, Build & Interiors Company HitsCeiling of Success at UK Awards
For the very first time in recent years a Scottish contractor has reached a medal position in the prestigious Association of Interiors Specialists Contractors Awards held each year in London following an initial entry, gruelling interview and site visit by judges.
akp Scotland Ltd was awarded the Silver Award for its Feature Ceiling for solicitors and estate agency firm, A&S Ireland.
Not only that but akp's interiors fit out for Transport Scotland's new headquarters at Buchanan House in Cowcaddens came Highly Commended in the Interiors Fit Out for contracts over £500,000 category.
Ian McEwan, Managing Director, akp Scotland Ltd said "We are thrilled that our entries have both achieved success. It is the first time we have entered and although we always knew our interiors team were working to the very high standards demanded of our clients, this is a huge endorsement of all our hard work and is great for the clients too."
The AIS Contractors Awards are presented annually to promote and encourage high levels of craftsmanship in seven categories.
Ian McEwan, Managing Director, akp Scotland Ltd, said "This week is already turning out to be the beginning of a new era at akp. We have moved to a new HQ in East Kilbride, have completely restructured and rebranded the company and are now focussing on a high growth strategy through our three divisions, Contract, Interiors and Healthcare. This UK award win has given our Interiors team a well deserved peer group approval.
