The Largest Independent Commercial Vehicle Dealer Group in the UK awarded akp the refurbishment and fit out of their Glasgow base in Govan.

The project included, but was not limited to; the creation of a new workshop and parts department, new office space, toilets, shower-rooms, kitchen and tea prep areas.

A full mechanical and electrical installation was also completed along with the installation of new shop fronts. The ground floor was fully decanted of staff to allow the
Workshop and Parts Tradecounter to be refurbished initially. Thereafter the 1st floor was fully decanted to allow the office space to be refurbished.

The project was particularly challenging from a phasing and logistics point of view as akp were keen to ensure business continuity throughout the project.
To ensure this akp’s Site Manager held daily meetings with the Imperial Commercials Team.

Logistically the project was particularly challenging as Imperial Commercials deals with multiple large commercial vehicles and houses a mechanics workshop. Therefore deliveries to site were carefully planned and booked in to ensure space and access for the mechanics and the vehicles was never a problem.

Imperial Commercials commented;
“The onsite management and controls from akp was excellent and extremely professional, there were no H&S issues considering we are a busy fully operational
business, 24 hour/7 days, we had no disruption to our service whatsoever.”
