akp were proud to carry out the CAT A & B works to 30,000 sq. ft. of new office space for client LumiraDx, who provide innovative point of care diagnostics testing products for healthcare professionals.
LumiraDx, which has over 1,200 global employees, originally leased the ground and first floors of Building 9 at Maxim Park, which is owned by Shelborn Asset Management. A new lease was then completed for the remaining two floors, giving an additional 30,000 sq. ft., in one of the largest lettings to have been concluded in 2021 within the Lanarkshire office market.
Peter Welch, LumiraDx vice president business development said: “The last year has been an incredible time of growth for LumiraDx as we both scale-up the manufacturing of our point of care (POC) testing platform and continue to develop other transformational POC tests.

The Operations and Commercial teams have been excellent throughout and have been very supportive and proactive in their approach. I would like to especially thank Project Manager John for his efforts over the last couple of weeks, which were difficult at times for reasons out with his control, but he pulled a lot of rabbits out of the hat and got us over the line. Probably my favourite project to have worked on! A great professional team, highly knowledgeable and skilled and with a great sense of pride in what they do. I would highly recommend them.

School / WLC were extremely appreciative of how John and team carried out works, excellent lines of communication with school throughout. Also, the site housekeeping, co-ordination, health and safety were all excellent.
