We have one vacancy within our Estimating Department for an Estimating Administrator.

Our services include everything from dilapidations and refurbishment to fit out and design and build throughout Scotland.

Estimating Administrator

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Reporting directly to the Estimating Manager.
  • Assisting the Estimating Manager and Senior Estimators in the preparation and pricing of tenders.
  • Reviewing tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify essential information for accurate cost estimates.
  • Obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Inputting and categorising data into estimating software and spreadsheets.
  • Assisting in generating and submitting accurate and competitive bids within specified deadlines.
  • Supporting the Estimators in maintaining and updating the estimating database.
  • Support the Estimators by applying estimating practices, procedures, and tools.
  • Acting as a secondary point of contact during the bid process, updating the job file and responding to requests for information.

Who you are:

  • Previous experience in an Estimating or Administrator role is preferable.
  • Construction background is preferable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Estimating software experience is preferable.
  • You will have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrate keen attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with demonstrable planning and delivery capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of refurbishment, fit out, manufactured joinery and construction methods and related product knowledge would be a strong advantage.
