One of Scotland’s largest legal firms, Morton Fraser MacRoberts, has moved to the prestigious Grade A office space at Haymarket Square in Edinburgh.
akp delivered two previous projects in the same building, the BCO nominated Cat B Fit Out for Dentons on the 2nd floor, and the Cat B Fit Out for Lothian Pension Fund on the 4th Floor.
The client was keen to optimise their office footprint and consolidate their teams at their current offices at Quartermile in Edinburgh and Capella in Glasgow.
The new office is located on the fifth floor, set within the impressive £350m mixed-use development in the heart of Edinburgh’s West End.
With an EPC rating of A and a BREEAM certification of ‘Very Good’, sustainability has been maximised in all aspects of the design, in keeping with the firm’s commitment to environmental excellence, which is supported by its ISO 14001 certification for Environmental Management.
The open-plan office space has been purposefully designed to facilitate an environment of meaningful collaboration and in-person contact and interaction between people and teams across the business.

The Operations and Commercial teams have been excellent throughout and have been very supportive and proactive in their approach. I would like to especially thank Project Manager John for his efforts over the last couple of weeks, which were difficult at times for reasons out with his control, but he pulled a lot of rabbits out of the hat and got us over the line. Yet again, thank you for all your efforts and hopefully I get the opportunity to work with you all again in the near future.

Probably my favourite project to have worked on! A great professional team, highly knowledgeable and skilled and with a great sense of pride in what they do. I would highly recommend them.
